Adding to it’s growing list of accolades, Dacia recently scooped all top three spots in cap hpi’s Pence Per Mile(PPM) ratings, which identify the cheapest cars to run in 2018.
The PPM list rates cars on a combination of purchase price and day-to-day motoring expenses such as insurance, road tax, servicing, fuel cost and even depreciation over a typical three year or 30,000 miles ownership period. Leyshon Flint have always championed the Dacia range for sheer affordability – and now it’s official, if it’s value you want, buy Dacia.
Taking joint first place is the Dacia Duster 1.6 SCe 115 Air with a running cost of just 20.63p per mile. With a total cost of ownership of £6,189 over three years or 30,000 miles, the rugged, no-nonsense Dacia Duster isn’t just the most affordable SUV available to buy in the UK but also the cheapest car to run. With strong residual values and efficient engines, the Duster is an ideal choice for savvy SUV buyers.

Despite the UK still shivering from last week’s cold snap, with more to come forecast this weekend, it seems that plenty of van drivers benefited from having brand new vehicles to drive through the snow.
Deals like Renault’s ‘new vans for old’ saw customers making the decision to buy new, which saw 14,135 new light commercial vehicles registered in February, 844 more vans and pick ups than the year before. This represents a rise of 6.4%, according to latest figures by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT), and shows the best February performance for a decade.
The new received a cautious welcome from motor industry experts.

So, you made a good decision and chose South Wales Renault Dealer Leyshon Flint to buy your new car - and a few weeks later, you find yourself facing UK winter temperatures literally lower than the arctic. So how should you defrost your car?
There are lots of ‘tried and tested’ ways to defrost your car windscreen, but not all commonly held advice is good.

When buying your shiny new or used car, navigating it through flooded roads was probably the last thing you had on your mind. Driving a car through floods isn’t something they cover on your driving test either, but a third of flood related deaths are in vehicles. A sobering thought.
With some roads and lines being perilously close to rivers and the sea in our beautiful land, and a leading climate change advisor warning that yearly floods are now likely in the UK, maybe flood safety is something Welsh drivers should think about. Sunday 21st and Monday 22nd January 2018 saw firefighters called to rescue stranded drivers across Wales – and their cars, new or used, won’t be respected by the floodwater that will have played havoc with their electrics and ruined their upholstery.

Basically, we’ve seen a continuous growth in the market for sports utility vehicles, however, they used to be big chunky vehicles designed for tackling tough terrain or towing heavy caravans – with a price tag to match.
Increasingly, families want the extra space and style of an SUV, but need something a little smaller and more affordable – hence the growth of the Crossover market.
Crossovers are smaller and lighter, but still have more space than your average family car, distinctive sports styling and good fuel economy.
Renault’s crossover range includes the Kadjar, the Captur and the Koleos. Click on the models to learn more about these great crossovers, equally perfect for the School run or the family holiday:
